Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

No layoffs for month of May 2016

There will be no layoffs in the month of May 2016. Due to the weather conditions of the past two weeks and current weather in the Houston area, the layoff will be on hold. Human resourse personnel are important part of the corporate family, therefore the safety of our beloved Human resources is priority. Layoff will comense once the rain subsides.

So bad in some departments that people actually prefer to get laid off. Less people more work get compiled into smaller groups. I'm actually hoping to get laid off btw.

That's not true. Here they laid off people the day after the storm, Sam Houston parkway location. This place is looking like the Wild West but instead full of underpaid Asian laborers, kind Of reminded me of the Shanghai Noon movie

No Human Resources = no Layoffs. So, HR will be the last to go.

Rain won't help you out when it comes to layoff, take the layoff and move on and quit crying there is nothing you can do about it just a down turn in oil business and it will be a long time till it returns.
