They brought in fresh executive blood to Supply Chain. He's all talk, unable to deliver.
In IT if your not of India descent does not matter how qualified you are your not going to be a manager or lead. I am surprise the labor board has not stepped in.
All companies are not the same. Staples is particularly awful in a special sort of way. But yes, if you don't want to play the game, there are other options.
All companies are the same. So, play the game. Or better yet, start your own company.
Or they hire from the good ole boy pool. Those that are "yes" men or women. Saw this happen in the IT department, those that politically good, definitely not technically good got the promotion!
Not good for the company but good for those that played the game!
