Will the degrees be viewed as having any value? There were some amazing professors and an excellent applications oriented approach to education. DeVry had a strong reputation for so many years. The vision was lost and greed took over. Another layoff happened yesterday. Who is left to teach and service the students?

Nothing would happen to those degrees and diplomas. When a school shuts down, the accreditation still stands for the years in which it was accredited. Colleges close all the time, and people's degrees aren't taken away - literally or figuratively. So no one freak out about no one taking DeVry credits, or honoring your accomplishment. An employer may prefer a state school on the resume, but many may not. Nothing new there. And most don't put ALL weight of a candidate in studies. Certainly DeVry closing would further tarnish the reputation, but that wouldn't invalidate the legitimacy of prior earned credits or degrees from DeVry. I can't say what's going to happen to DeVry students of tomorrow, but former students and graduates need not worry. If you did web design or some other skill-specific degree at DeVry though, don't waste the internet's time complaining when your DeVry credits don't transfer into the ultra sound program you decided on at juco. Be careful what you read folks. The internet is full of unchecked idiots.
Do you think they care? Please! Devry doesn't care! Management doesn't care! All of management doesn't think it's their jobs to speak to students or deal with them! They are the only arrogant non customer related people I've been associated who claim they care about their customers but won't or don't speak to them! It's not in their job description to speak to our customers is their mentality! Umm we are a university, the customers pay your paycheck.
Devry is accredited yes they will have value but the question is what will happen to all of the degrees and diplomals when devry goes down ????
