Perhaps you haven't heard that the accrediting agency is bullshit too. They make their own rules.

The PhDs versus the Masters is NOT post is NOT correct. They have axed most of the masters level professors not the other way round. The accreditation requires a certain percentage of PhDs teach courses. This is NOT what happened.

Honestly, the colleagues and staff that are still currently working at this school are the good guys. They genuinely think they can save this sinking ship. Yes, there are some "checked out" individuals, but by in large many faculty, advisers, and staff care for students and are trying to live up to what they've been told, by leadership, is a great program. It is sad that those who are working the hardest for the students are getting screwed by upper management and home office decisions.

Inexperience and ego prevents them from asking colleagues! They get defensive and close minded when suggestions are made! Cmon you should already know this!!!! The only school I've worked at where management doesn't speak to students on a daily basis! Culture of care? The people putting this out there don't want to hear the truth!!

Oh I am sure more layoffs are to come all over the board. Any time there is a scrap of bad news managements first reaction is to layoff. Of course not at their level - they do so much for the students by sitting in meetings all day trying to plug the ever-growing number of holes in the sinking ship. You would think that after all their ideas have not worked or blown up in their faces they might actually think to ask the colleagues for some ideas. But no....let's just stay the course because it's working out oh-so-well.

It doesn't take too much to comprehend their asinine reasoning. PhDs cost more to pay than those with just MBAs. Hopefully they don't try to loop them into some unfair severance by saying you can't work at another school for whatever specified time. But now they can work at a real school and wave buh-bye to Devry when it finally flushes down the toilet. They don't care about students or employees anymore. New leaders at the top, same old story.

Why do people stay there to work? DeVry Education Grouo is a complete disaster.

Another unorganized, fly by the seat of your pants decision. No rationale. I'll take a Phd professor over mba any day. They need to make that a 100% criteria. But leaders are dip sh--s.

Don't think there was any logic. Faculty with PhDs were laid off and those with masters retained.

As usual, they pulled the criteria out of their asses. Does anybody honestly think there is any logical thought involved in this process?
