I see a meeting on Thursday, should be interesting news, lots of us know the other shoe is going to fall soon. Things are looking pretty bad where we work, morale is terrible, no work is getting done as everyone is typing away on their phones getting their resumes out and linkedin in order.

I find myself and teammates gathering randomly and discussing ACT. Then I pass groups around the campus and especially the cafe talking about ACT. Once I went out to lunch and saw a table full of Intel people celebrating somebody's ERP.
I'm in TMG and it's pretty low in our group. There are glimmers of hope here and there but for the most part it's lame and depressing. People are just slogging through their tasks and checking stupid boxes.
FWIW, Morale is pretty bad in Bangalore. People leaving in droves taking the VSP package. More will leave when BGA site is moved to SRA and people don't want to put up with an extra hour commute.
Are you a person that plays politics and actively tries making co-workers look bad rather than actually being productive and collaborative? Are you a millennial? Are you a diverse employee? Are you a director level manager or above? Morale is great with those people!
There will be a (futile) effort to declare that Intel's on the right track now ("turning the page") because of the Apple modem "win"
Those who are prone to drink kool-aid will go along with it. All the rest will see it as more lies and BS...
All of my friends who are left are just waiting until the next shoe drops (and/or looking for other jobs).
What can you say. There has been a massive failure at the top level of management and instead of taking responsibility they have labeled 12000 people as underperforming and ruined their lives and dreams
I think morale would depend on which site you are referring to. Most of the layoff is focused here in US sites, so morale here is not good. Jobs are being moved to certain Asian sites especially more well established sites like Malaysia. So morale there is pretty good.
For the most part it's the same for morale in other areas. More work piled on those who are left & new projects added on top of already really full plates.
