Analysts at Baird today said the winner in the Williamz ETE merger fiasco is the law firm. Because they are going to get a ton of"billable hours" as this drags out into 2017.

Lawyers win, Williams to appeal
Hope you are right. The articles I have been reading have implied that ETE wants to walk away from the deal and they are using their law firm to issue a phony statement on the 701 tax ruling. Hopefully it all gets settled in court and all parties agree, and the vote yes. In that case still a possibility we would get a servance check. That would a bonus, not counting on it though.
I agree with reply number 1's statement " The merger will happen because it is beneficial to both companies ". I however do not agree with the statement by the original post. First and foremost nether Williams or ETE have the assest's , nor the legal authority to charge a so called "ton of billable hours" to law firms - or any other entity at this point in the " my daddy's bigger than yours " merger debacle. The merger and its handling by the glourius CEO's of both companies is the laughingstock of the pipeline industries at this point". Plus I have only seen " news statements by Baird" and no detailed analysis of any sort by " Baird" at any point up to and including today's date. Prove me wrong. Were is Bairds current analytics numbers on the Williams / ETE merger breakdown?
The merger will happen because it is beneficial to both companies.
