Micron has always hired and fired, that is true. But after about two years of seeing our work being shipped overseas and coming in to work everyday to total uncertainty about if we will even have anything to do or wether we will be shipped to another area for the day or the week it becomes a very insecure uncertain place to work. We don't see any way Micron is not going to lay workers off so why all the secrecy? If layoffs are going to happen, tell us when!

my husband put many long hours of hard work -12 hours a day and a lot of abuse handed down to him from snarky, snarling engineers. Micron is not the company it use to be. I have watched my husband go from a man that was happy to be part of a great team- to coming home with his shoulders hunched up, no smile, and clearly a lot of stress. Your leader Mark Duncan is pathetic. They are gradually farming out of the jobs of an Idaho started company to China and other places oversees. Since my huasband has not been unemployed for a good number of years, I wanted to know about possible retraining for him since he is in his upper 50's. In Idaho, if you feel that your jobs are going away due to your jobs being sent overseas, it only takes 3 people to request from Micron or the unemployment agent to be retrained. Step up to the front and let Micron have to pay their laid off employees in a new profession that will cost them even more. Course, the unemployment gentlemen did advised that Micron is well adversed in layoffs and retraining.
July!
When they report another quarter loss, something might be announced. Even they know this can't go on.
