I asked my boss one time about the values. The question I had was how far up the organizational chart do you have to go before you are no longer required to follow the core values? He looked at me and said everyone is required to follow them. Then I asked if this is true then who is it that watches the people on the executive level and when they are caught in a lie why are they not terminated? This happens a few times while I was there. No answer. The core values are not something that are only for Devon. They are values that I would hope most of us try to live by each day. They are the things that make us good individuals among our fellow humans. Just because some in Devon fail to live by these values doesn't make the values something we should not strive for. my life at Devon is a very small part of what defines me as a person. When my life is over and my family is looking back at my life no one will care how much money I made or that I was a engineer for Devon Energy. They will remember that I had terrible grammar, could not spell for sh-- and that I was a good, honorable person. I can live and die with that in peace. All the crap that has gone on at Devon doesn't even matter a little bit. How you carry yourself does.

Team player?
What's that? Devon has no idea what a team player is.
Better not knock Dnow or the "highly competent" supply chain group will turn you in to HR for not being a team player.
Oops , meant the Devon Tower, the one with all the attributes oozing out the windows and doors !
Integrity, isn't that the BIG one?
The big one that you see when you walk into the Dnow Tower?
Integrity ,,,, well we can't use that one, that's the big one, the one we wish we had, but just don't understand the meaning of, we lie and steal from our investors , we let Dnow rape us and pass the cost onto our investors, so that knocks out just about all of them.
