Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

It didn't take long for management to take their eye off the insight survey ball.

So much for that d--k Vin's word. NY piece of crap.

Have been gone for a year and no regrets here but was interesting to see that there is approximately 10 people per month leaving IT since I left. Some for the second time. So very sad, the longevity and loyalty of employees is a thing of the past. It is so sad that what took years for this company to become great has been torn down and ripped apart from the inside in under 5 years. Long term employees are a thing of the past. Used to be proud and honored to tell people where I worked but after the layoffs I never did anymore. Nice to be working for somewhere I can be proud of again. So much happier that I left.

Agree. Not necessarily a fan of the way Tim ran things but pretty evident that Bella and Vin forced out some of the good IT people and replaced them with their buddies from the NY/NJ area. Bella is just waiting for a couple of more years and then retire, and Vin is waiting to take her spot for 5-10 years. It's all about the money and they could care less about the company. Hell, there were several IT managers/directors from Morgan Keegan that should have stayed but were shown that they were not really wanted - i.e. didn't fit into Vin's plans.

Two years running where nothing has been done about the survey and it's poor results. This really goes above and beyond Vin. It should be ringing in the ears of the CEO and others on the board. This organization used to be one of the Top 100 IT orgs in the country year over year and ever since Eitel stepped down, it hasn't made that even once.

The whole leadership team in IT is toxic in my opinion. The company itself is doing well, but it's only due to the business side of things. The executive team of RJ really needs to pay attention to how this other side of the business is run. They need to analyze the performance of Human Resources for keeping this POOR leadership team around. When recruiters in the area notice and complain on how bad things are with the company, then you know it's already out in the market how poor this side is run. Instead, they give the leadership team big raises, stock options, and glorify them while the people in the trenches get little.

Isn't it sad that the CEO of the company hands down a certain percentage of money every year for bonuses because YOU associates did a great job and then the leadership in IT strips out dollars for things that never happen. You certainly don't see Bella get stripped any percentage of her stocks allocation which is in the millions. These aren't leaders. They are selfish individuals in my opinion. Ever notice how many of them are from UBS? Not because they performed well there, but because they are friends. They ran RJ into the ground. So while much of this can be blamed on Vin, the blame goes through and past him, through HR, through Bella, and up to the leaders who let them manage this way. Paul Reilly, pay attention to what the people are saying.
