Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

Mary, Mary ... how does your college system grow?

Mary, Mary how does your college system grow ... with lay-offs, closures and poor ideology at the helm.

A bit different then the state funded and highly supported community college system.

You keep saying Everest is a for-profit school. Everest and WyoTech are no longer for-profits, so why do continue to refer to them as such?

@HIucyAV-3kqa, you sound like management. Yes, community colleges and state colleges have problems, and it's getting worse. As you know, however, for-profit colleges like Everest are worst case scenarios for students and their families--that's why I support the Corinthian Collective (aka Everest Avengers). Your excuse is merely a technique of neutralization.................................................... https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/elites-profit-us-college-meltdown-continues-dahn-shaulis?trk=mp-author-card

I know all of the comebacks for when Zenith is compared to the CC system. But, honestly, if you were talking to a family member or friend, would you recommend us? That's what gets me. I feel like a used car salesman because I know I couldn't go through the spiel with someone whose future I cared about. I would absolutely tell them to go to the community college.

Cumdump, you love to compare for-profits to community colleges saying howmuch better the community colleges are. Have you looked at the student completion average of the community colleges? Only 3 out of 10 students complete their course of study and graduate from community colleges. It may be less expensive for the student only because they are subsidized by the tax payers. Either way you look at it the tax payers are footing the bill. Completion rates at for-profits are at least double and some places triple that of community colleges. In fact, completion rates at for-profits are higher than most state universities.

@HIucyAV-2stt ,and where did you get the percentage? The same way that UoPX gets its other numbers? The same way that EAs get the gainful employment numbers they tell their targets?

@HIucyAV-1fsx, I'll acknowledge that other schools have major problems, but what PERCENTAGE of liberal professors at state run universities make $250K, if they are not administrators?..............................................................https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/elites-profit-us-college-meltdown-continues-dahn-shaulis?trk=mp-author-card

Just look at the salaries of some of the liberal professors at the state run universities. But it's ok to pay them $250k per year to teach liberal and socialism ideology to students.

State funded colleges do not have to heed to the same requirements as private do. What is the graduation rates and job placement rates for universities across the nation??? State supported anything can be operated poorly with out responsibilities and no one gives a rats A**. Good way to spend tax dollars.
