It looks like a cleaning house operation where they are trying to remove excess due to a low number of new US projects.
From what I hear 95% of the PRD staff was removed yesterday. That's work not to a billable client but to an improvement in the technology.
Be very careful working for this firm. The company is a professional consulting firm. They are good while it lasts. However, your time this company will come to an end eventually.
this is exactly what happened in the life sciences practice - when the real reason was the PPD's did not go out and sell enough business and they also overhired.
Exactly it happened to me and few of my friends from SAP practice. They just got an email from P/P/D saying "connect" and when you accept and go for the meeting the P/P/D will come with a HR person and said "today is your last day". If they want to remove you they will give you a bad rating also just to show a reason for layoff. Beware!
