Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

One of the reason Intel fail

Is the engineers are prohibited to talk to the customers directly. Critical information exchange is slow and very difficult. I know in theory there is the Runda route and there are Application Engineers who can bridge the communications, but in reality it does not work. Watch PEG qgs, the guy explained that he could validate the product better if he could get hold of Customer's firmware and bios. This issues does not only happen in PEG. all engineers who build or validate products have the same issue. There is just no technical/competitive information from the outside world for us in a timely fashion to do our jobs right.

Now customers have choices. and we still choose to be arrogant"

This attitude permeates Intel culture and will be the downfall of the company.

Intel customers resent being treated with arrogance by people at Intel who are ignorant of their customers' real needs.

The 10,000th reason that the approach that BK and Murthy and Co. have taken for this layoff is stupid and likely counterproductive is that it doesn't address this underlying cultural problem (and probably makes it worse).

Making Intel a customer-centric organization will take new leadership and getting rid of all of those who don't understand that the world has changed.

Don't get me wrong, I have been getting EE's, O's and good stocks during focals, because I know how to meet & exceed my manager's expectations. Whereas It's the customers expectations I should be meeting.
