@H9bUqJg-bkn on the form you are asked to list people to be consulted. If you can list a recent/current manager, group leader, or someone HR would pay attention to and who would support your appeal, that could help. I don't think they would immediately trash it but if the only people they consult are yourself and the person who gave the low ranking, nothing is likely to change.
One reason to appeal would be to clear your name. I would want to quit such company but on my own terms. Appeal also puts the fear in incompetent managers that they cant just f'k people and not see consequences when sh-- hits the fan. But I also assume that HR will do the due deligence and not just trash the appeal the moment they receive it. Too naive?
seems unlikely any appeal will be successful. But if it is, does that mean you lose the severance package if you've found a new job by then and decide you don't want to return to Intel? If so, seems risky to appeal unless you are sure you want to return.
At first I was furious I had so many outright lies in my review that led to my ISP and I really wanted to fight it hard. Then, after only a couple days of reflection, I came to the realization I was being an idiot. Why would anyone want to work for such an anti-logical, anti-common-sense establishment? The vast majority of the management decisions they make are illogical, neo-liberal, counter-productive, jibberish garbage. Why the hell would I want to put up a fight to return to that? Why would anyone want to put up a fight to return to that? Time to go somewhere where at least 10% of management has half a brain and at least 5% aren't just non-questioning, order-following fools that will do anything asked of them without question no matter how retarded it is.
I heard from a manager that you have 1 week to appeal your ISP - but good luck getting it overturned.
You can't appeal. You signed an at will employment agreement.
I can only dream of a position with such job security ;)
Are you employed in HR or legal appear chance??
I'm still employed. Asking out of curiosity.
You are wasting your time. Move on. You cannot win on appeal. If they make even one exception they will be facing lawsuits.
