Let's see, Project Execution - Benefits realized Zero!!, Stakeholder satisfaction Zero!! Metrics None!
It would be great if Devon did real project management. Now they just check boxes and schedule meeting upon meetings. The real problem is they inept PMs and CIs. The talent pool we have is horrible and now even worse after the layoff. Get rid of Dickie and you might see a change for the better.
If you don't like project management, you can always leave. Otherwise, it wouldn't hurt you to buy into the company's direction. Maybe even read up on project management or lean six sigma so you can help improve instead of just complain. Just some recommendations, because pm doesn't go away.
Arrogance, sexual harassment, favoritism, suck ups. Not a place I'd like to work now.
It isn't harassment when women invite it by the way they dress. You know what I'm talking about.
It's an oil company, all the men are predators! It is a well known fact that interns are harassed.
"Tell the proper authorities". What a joke. The way the regulations work, you inform your supervisor. If no response, you inform the next level up. If your department is the problem, go straight to HR. Document, document.
My experience is that the eyes get fixated on the chest. I always want to remind them my eyes are up here dude!
Being victimized is not something to joke about. If this is true you need to make the proper authorities aware.
Oh MY GOD!! I though I was the only one this happened too. I'm still in the middle of this mess.
They do not! I will say it out right, more than one of the Devon PMs is a sexual predator. They have their own version of Bill Cosby. Perhaps this will explain why I hate them so much. I can only say I tried to come forward but was victimized more.
I think you mean drule
Your answer is booking a meeting about a meeting and letting the team know that it needs more meetings. The project managers are good at wasting paper with all the stupid printouts they bring. Paid 155k a year for nothing. The team thinks they are adding value... But just waste other people's time. Honestly if you look at the talent pool of the remaining project managers they are so under qualified. It's an utter joke.
ding dong!
