Sure glad the answer is not Intel. What goes through your head when you are asked where you work? When I joined in 1999 I told everyone I was working for Intel, PROUDLY. last 4-5 years I never looked forward to someone asking this question and now with these layoffs as soon as Intel name comes up the the next thing that comes out is 12000 layoffs. I was part of 2015 ISP and sure glad I don't have to say Intel is where I work now. I proudly say the new company name. Life so much better outside Intel. MOVE.

I didn't realize how stressed out I was until two months after departure. All of a sudden I started enjoying life. It didn't make sense. How can I be so calm and relaxed. Is it me that changed o=r was it the work place. Constant back stabbing, the threat of layoff, threat of not knowing what was expected of me at work was gone in a flash. Luckily I was back to work July 2015. The other thing that was strange to me is how much respect I was receiving from my new co-workers. How non hostile the new work place was. Basically my aging had stopped and I could breath again. I am glad this happened otherwise I can't imagine how I would deal with what's going on right now @Intel. This was a great company and one that I was so proud to call place of work but it all changed last few years and looks like it's getting much worse in a hurry. The sad thing is people stay until the very end not knowing what could be out there for them and how it would impact their life style. Change is always good specially if the environment is toxic. Life is too short to go through this.

Yes. We must take time to decompress from the rigors of life at Intel. I am very happy to have left to begin living my personal life again and reconstruct my wife's and my relationship. There was some severe damage that Intel culture caused in this relationship over the years. We will all find a better life post Intel. Feel sorry for those left behind in a horrible environment.
I, too, joined in 1999 and share the same resentment. While I was able to survive this one, I hope to find the courage to leave on my own terms before next focal.

I was 17yrs and never had an SSL4 until Focal 2016 and I was walked out in 20 minutes past Monday.
I am moving on, I know how to take care of myself and the golden handcuffs of RSU's are not worth the BS.
I needed this to spur me into something greater and more fulfilling.
