Some groups are offering relo for remote sites. Depends on many factors, including POR, skills, projects, location, etc.

yep they started informing employees working on mobile SOC all gone.. it seems intel is out of the phone application processor biz and will only do the modem (LTE, etc..). so add about 2000 jobs worldwide to your tally

"So far site closures, isp and vsp don't get close to be 12,000 target." Exactly!

3,500 - ISP

2,500 - location closure

2,000 - ERP (based on historical data)

4,000 - through VSP and project sh--down

It's the 4K through VSP and projects that they'll have difficulty getting.

Does anyone know if employees at closed locations will have the option to remove-locate? I've heard the process is: location shut down > all employees given a severance package > and a freeze on all transfers to another Intel group. That freeze applies to the entire company right now. Supposedly, you can't moves groups as the "actions" are occurring.
