Breaking News: Verizon Gives

One day of rain and they're already begging to meet with the union on Thursday. Ha ha. So much for that highly trained EWA force.

You guys all up in bernie Sanders balls. You realize he believes it's okay to kill babies. Why rally Bernie who is clearly left.

Make up your mind.

Again the McKinsey or Pinkerton strike breaking troll is here to reduce information for her client Verizon, which laid off something like a 1/5 of its managers last year and is planning to lay off another signicicant amount not long after this strike ends. So this stike has everything to do with layoffs, just like the poster@H6DHPY2-1ywu

I'm doing new installs. I think some EWAers are capable and the revenues won't hurt the bottom line to much until replacement workers come. Because they don't have the Union salaries on the books.

"50% union layoff coming soon."

They tried something along the lines of 5% layoff back in 2002.

Exploded right in their faces.

That's one thing they'll never try again. Ever.

That's why they were running QARs like the world was coming to an end.

That's why they want to be able to move the people around to no limit.

That's why no union member will see the next (2019?) contract if they give in now.

Lets listen what they have to say first. Right now they are on the ropes and fading fast.

@H6DHPY2-xed It is going to take all union employees working OT for the next 2 months just to clean up the damage you managers caused in the past two weeks. Besides it is much easier and more cost efficient to lay off a dime a dozen manager.

"I think it was more the Union begging Verizon to come back to the table"

Your logic defies logic

In a week or two, the EWA will prove you only need 20K union trolls.

50% union layoff coming soon.

acs actually it was probably the emergency service workers tired of the company not having anyone trained enough to fix their communications. You folks should stick to what you are good at, beating the government at the tax game and outsourcing American jobs.

@mwi. In India your post may make some kind of sense, here it does not. Try an English as a second language class, or find one of the 5 Americans left at BR to learn from. Cheers!!

@H6DHPY2-yfg, It depends. Some work requires serious experience and some don't. Also we don't need fully of experienced ones at work all the time. How did you learn all of your job skill?..You probably learned the skill from someone with more experience. That's what EWA force is doing and they will get better with every day. Is someone with 15 days experience the same as someone doing this work for 15 years? of course not..

@XKS The EWA Staff looks more like they're ready for the early bird special at a retirement community than climbing poles, and doing installations. Sorry to burst your company optimistic bubble......But it will take them a year to get up to any kind of productivity levels, and i just don't think anyone has that kind of time. This has been a complete failure anyway you slice it.

@H6DHPY2-xks you can't put lipstick on a pig and make her a beauty queen, and you can't teach a manager in less than 7 days how to work aloft, install, troubleshoot and fix FiOS or copper.

the longer you are out, the better the EWA force becomes.

it's that simple. With your logic, the trouble tickets will be resolved quicker and quicker.

keep in mind the replacement is also coming.
