How does the manager initiate ISP ? Can anyone give clear picture ?

Curious what they do if you have a BYO PC? Would take some time for them to wipe it.
Mine was a private conference room. My Mgr had to step out as the rep gave me my isp pckg then came in and escorted me to my cube to collect the few things I didn't pack on Friday. We chatted with a few team members and he walked me to the door. No a animosity left at that point so I let him off the hook. He had to pick someone and I was happy to go once I saw the package. He had to pick someone. I was a higher grade and the new guy. Insulted at first but am good now. Hate Intel but screw it.
at Fm you are not allowed to go back to your desk. Your manager gets a call from HR that tells them who they have to layoff and ypur manager is not alowed to intercede in your behalf. The day before or the same day your boss sets up a 1:1. They meet you there with the HR representative. HR explains your package then someone collects your personal items . You are asked for your laptop and badge and scorted out. Some people have had their friends in the lobby not to walkout alone.
It depends on what your location is. There has been at least one group session where all the ISPs were brought to a central place and told collectively they were being let go. Most are 1:1, in a private room. When you are done you are allowed to collect your personal belongings, escorted to the door, and your badge is reclaimed.
They summons you to a dark room with 2 security guards by your side, once they finish giving you all the BS they grab you by your collar and the seat of your pants and throw you out o your arse.
