I have looked on both the California and Oregon department of labor sites and could not find any notices from Intel. Are they breaking federal law by not notifying the states that there will be layoffs?

The min package is 8 weeks and the official last day is May 30 so it will meet any WARN requirement
WARN is required if they close the site or exceed a certain percentage of staff at a site. Site closures are being announced on 4/25. All the required paperwork will likely be filed the same day.
Call EEOC and file wrongful termination
They can give you one minute's notice....but if they pay you out for 2 months....that is considered 60 days notice under WARN.
Last year's folks were given 30 days notice but paid out a minimum of 60 days pay.
Dont worry. They are not stupid and have lots pf experience chopping heads. They are giving you 60 days just to cover themselves. Remember they do this every yr now
