Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

They have a target in the slide. So #1 people goes first, then #2, then the remaining is met from the 3rd, SSL4/5 in only 2016, there is going to be talks about who is worth removing and who is not, from criteria 3.

Also #2 doesnt cover #3 completely. in #2 its SSL4/SSL5 in both years, with not EE or O. where as #3 is SSL4/5 in 2016 only and dont have EE/O in 2015 or 2016.

Catch here is SSL4 can be given to EE/O, so if you have SSL4 with EE/O then you are not considered.

if you look closely it is not presentation mode/ full screen mode.

@1xan, the point is, if you qualify for condition 2 then you must qualify for 3, so why does #2 exist?

I disagree that condition 3 covers condition 2 or vice versa.

Condition 2 requires getting SSL4/5 in both 2015 and 2016.

Condition 3 is met with a single SSL4/5 in 2016 and by getting S in both of those years. An SSL4/5 this year is a layoff, but an SSL4/5 in only 2015 is not.

The package listed on ISP was what my manager offered me when he threatened me with an IR two years back. So I think ISP package can be true.

The Oregonian I think used the same slide for their info :) This slide has been circulating since early morning.

There are two wrong points

1. Points 3 covers point 2

2.The package listed for ISP sounds too good. Can't be true.

Agreed about conditions 2 and 3 being the same, doesn't make sense to me either. However, these same bullets are posted on the Oregonian, a usually reliable source. They are the source I very first learned about the layoffs from. Actually I'm hoping this, (or the Oregon Live article), is true because the enhanced retirement looks pretty attractive.

My guess is its worldwide. The yield is what they can expect after pruning the list of can't fire.. people that were just hired, people that live in countries like France/Germany were firing is illegal it has to be mutual consent (crazy.. we all need to move).. And this is just one of the 4 firing next week with, there is VSP and retirement and site closure... wave two comes in two months.

I doubt the validity. The package cannot be the same for VSP and ISP.
