People up the street just got fios. Truck was there all day. I asked them how it went. We are not exactly friends, just neighbors. They said it took a long time but the techs were very professional and thorough. They said the rechs wanted to make certain that they knew how to use all features on the TV and that all their devices connected to their Wi-Fi. They don't know I work for Verizon. I didn't recognize the techs but they look like management. I mentioned that I was surprised that they got their installation done since Verizon is on strike. They didn't know anything about the strike.

Installs are being done. Personally did a dsl/hsi install today, 1 yesterday and 1 on sunday. Our garage is doing about 15 per day, but we have around 60 "mgt/scabs" lol.
It has been a rough start, but the last 2 days have been much better. Today most tech teams split into singles. Some alone, but many requested an escort. (No, not that kind) my guess is productivity will suffer for a few days as people get used to not having a second tech to bounce ideas off of.
op, maybe you're sleepwalking through life. I've seen coverage on CNN, Fox News, Fox Business, The Tonight Show, etc. Do you have a television that only has bunny ears?
You are not going to win in 2016 using techniques from the 1970's. The Company knows that.

The CWA/IBEW do not know how to run a successful media campaign. They don't know what the "tools" are available to them in 2016. It is that simple.
People care when they can't connect.
word is that they are back to the negotiating table but have not communicated to the public yet
Installs are 100% happening. I'm on the EWA.
No one cares, they have their own problems.
The public knows. They just don't care. They know what we all know, that the union is a useless anachronism (feel free to google the big word union dunces).
Just relax.... It will take time... It's only been a week... The only installs being done are very basic with everything already in place. Trouble is now pushed out 5 weeks. Don't get nervous.. Together win!!!!! Divided we lose....
The general public DOES NOT CARE ! The official number of unemployed Americans is 8.3 million who probably would LOVE to work at Verizon
Unfortunately the media and the public only care for about 5 minutes, then it's forgotten about and old news. It's the second by second, onto the next thing, type society we live in. In the end, the majority of Americans just don't care about this strike or the importance of it. Only you guys do.
Installs are being done for sure. I know someone who had fios hooked up yesterday.
The people calling in to the call centers are amazed at how helpful the EWA workers are compared to the regular reps. Lots of customers have no idea about the strike.
hmmmm...this sounds familiar. Remember 2011? I seem to remember reading similar things about lack of media coverage.
Here's the truth, everyone. Nobody cares. And even if they pretend to care, they really don't. Bernie Sanders wanted votes. That's all. Nothing more. He really could care less about your strike and he just wanted to use you all to get votes. He did, and deep down inside, you all know it's true. So you had your fun, you get your 60 seconds of fame in the news and your #feelthebern stupidity all over Twitter, and he is mathematically eliminated from being the front runner candidate for the libtards. So get over yourself and stop pretending that you have so much support for your strike because NOBODY CARES!
So get back to work, end this stupid strike, and come back to the job while you can. There are lots of others who are glad to if you don't.
Yes we are doing installs ... My husband is one of them. Get your information straight.
And a troll response - the public don't really care. You realize how many people are unemployed and or underemployed right now? Millions of people have enough problems of their own, you think they're going to add your problem on top of theirs?
Nobody knows and nobody cares! Try watching the news. Not one thing is reported about Verizon being on strike. Try and Google it. You just get information reported last week. Great coverage.
Just another troll. Verizon's not doing any installs. They can't even keep up with the troubles. Probably creating two troubles for every work around.
