Thread regarding McKesson Corp. layoffs

Like lemmings following their leader off a cliff. Except, in our case, the leaders have parachutes.

I feel like I've been b*tch slapped by this company. I know that no company offers guarantees, and I understand that economic climate has played a part in the crumbling structure that was once strong and vibrant. But the impact we are bearing the brunt of at the moment was created by poor management decisions.

This is the second time I've been laid off from this company because upper management didn't listen to the rumbling of the underlings who knew all along we were headed for trouble. It isn't the people at the bottom losing their jobs that caused the mess. We did everything we could to clean it up, but within the parameters set for us.

Exactly. Or whisk off to Italy with the sales team (for all their hard work) attracting customers that cannot be serviced properly and end up leaving to another wholesaler with better products, leadership, software and customer service.

Tell me what the hell our sales teams have to celebrate??? Have they seen the droves of customers leaving??? Or could this be their last soirée before Hammergren runs McK to bankruptcy once One Post sells?

I've never worked in a place with such shockingly inept leadership. It has led me to believe that McK is an attractor for the worst of the worst. They blow hundreds of thousands of dollars flying people out for pointless 'agile planning sessions' that provide the illusion that teams are empowered, then change the priorities a week after planning. It's a circus that feels like it's led by Jerry Springer than anyone with actual leadership skill.

The big joke is that they've become a Fortune 15 company through the dedication and hard work of their employees, and not the clowns collecting MIPs. This is the very worst kind of capitalism.
