I think both companies will ultimately fail, buy out or no. The buyout is just another way for those at the top to make a cash grab on the way out.

If it goes through, Roland will be cashed out, while Ron will leech from Staples for another few years.

If it fails, hopefully both CEOs are replaced shortly after.

Any one that thinks this is a good thing is crazy. This is staples just costing more people There jobs. If I were you I would get out while you can. I was a g.m. there for 15 years and they closed my store and sent me on my way. I did any thing they wanted in that 15 years. I opened new stores helped relocate stores did special projects for rvp and none of it matters in the end. The company has no soul.

I am not in favor of the buyout myself. However, in the event that the judge rules in favor of Staples I think it would be F'in awesome if they put some type of restriction on how much of a bonus Ron or Roland could get from the buyout.
