I have found a wonderful healthcare company, that REALLY knows healthcare and their healthcare management is amazing, because guess what? They are healthcare leaders! They are medical professionals, mostly licensed, or medical healthcare management degreed. It makes a WORLD of difference. There is NEVER a mention of layoffs. They are actually surprised by the layoff culture I came from, and could not even comprehend it. It is a refreshing change of pace. I have spoken with my manager on several occasions since being there, much more than I ever spoke with my McKesson manager IN YEARS. It is a very caring environment and truly lives by the ICARE principles, rather than just advertising them as a facade.
