Folks this was a deal made with the DOE from the beginning. Find some company to bail out CCI, throw them students to service loans for years.....ECMC!

You just figured that out? That was so obvious a year ago.
ED did need to transition the students from the failed Corinthian. ECMC/Zenith was both willing and convenient, sort of like the students.
That is a very intriguing conspiracy...to people with subpar knowledge of the student loan industry. ECMC does NOT service or guarantee Direct Loans - never has and never will. Furthermore, even if ECMC's portfolio could consist of Direct Loans, you do realize the total student population at the remaining Zenith schools would merely be a drip in the bucket, don't you? Of course you don't.
