I have watched as the leads have dried up. Only the very desperate now ask about an education at Everest. The writing is on the wall. Look around you, none of us are stupid we saw this coming for two years. The next big thing will be All Campuses are closed and ECMC takes a huge write off. Again how sad, they never planned on making a great career college.

To 1qwe: What school do you reach at? Intelligent heart was the biggest waste of time and brain cells I've ever seen in online teaching. Second, we as instructors have way less freedom to teach then we did before. The AD's only want numbers, they sit and count posts, they harp on time sheets, they are incapable of looking at the bigger picture in a class, they harp on the minutia.
The AD''s are the problem, get rid of them, allow instructors to teach and retain and the classes get back to normal. The school I just started doesn't harp on any of that and lets you teach, sure they have rules and guidelines, but then they butt out. They treat you like adults, not like these frustrated nanny types that are hired as Asst Deans here.
To the person who wrote this, "THE MAJORITY of the students are very unhappy and doing a lot of talking on social media about an expensive education that just got them further into debt with no outcome....shame on us."
Individuals do not HAVE to attend any school. They can walk away anytime, transfer to a different school, and take responsibility for their future. Complaining about hating a chocolate cake that one baker makes, but continuing to eat that cake, when there are hundreds/thousands of other cakes made by other bakers available is not the answer, nor the first baker's problem.
THE MAJORITY of the students are very unhappy and doing a lot of talking on social media about an expensive education that just got them further into debt with no outcome....shame on us.
That's a great plan, too bad there are no students. We will produce better graduates, all 10 of them
ECMC has made many changes: investment in Intelligent Heart, adding gated weeks in the online classroom, taking a tougher stand on late work, letting faculty make their own late policy.
Students are becoming more responsible. Faculty are empowered to teach now, not hand-hold. This alone is a paradigm shift from the previous management.
If this continues, we will produce students who understand deadlines, accept responsibility for their actions and are much more employable.
Zenith never stood a chance of turning the schools around. These schools were so toxic because of the negative effects from CCI. But that is only part of the problem. Enrollment was in decline for the last 5 years as it is with all posts secondary education. Now add all these things together and the total comes out failure. The money is running out and things have only gotten worse. We seen these same moves, though not quite as drastic, implemented by CCI in the final years of their existence. By the end of the next quarter all remaining schools that fail to earn a profit will be closed.
OP - you are right. It is very sad. Consider all the student and employees lives negatively impacted over the past 4-5 years by management decisions driven by greed, incompetence or both. That number FAR outweighs those who received some tangible benefit. And, yes - Zenith/ECMC never made a good faith effort to improve things. It was never their intention to do so........
Oh, we changed students life's that is for sure
I just heard they fired the campus presidents and all directors at the Tacoma and Everett Washington Campuses. Is this true?
Ready! Probably all closed by the end of 2016. Don't Be Stupid.
