I can see them consolidating the WyoTechs. They need at least 500 to 600 students in each of the automotive schools and 200 in Daytona to break even. Plus they need to get enrollment high enough to get back to having night classes again. Night classes were a big draw for WyoTech.

No tav, Greenpoint under CP Rich was horrendous. Actually, Bissonet is ranked in the top 2 schools, in terms of profitability and productivity. The last I heard was that they had close to 400 students, around 35 staff and faculty. Now, I have been out of the rebuild process for a couple of months, but those numbers still should be about right. I assume they have eliminated the CP and Director positions; if, so they will have a super strong balance sheet.

Don't bank on them not closing Wyotech. I heard they closed Houston Greenpoint which was the best in that region yet left the other 2 Houston schools opened and firing the employees for not doing things right.

Seems someone went into the web sites and returned them to normal. At 9 am eastern time this morning they had the message they were not enrolling students, now they are back to normal. Guess they let the cat out before they informed all the employees. This company never ceases to amaze me, they can't even get school closures done correctly.

I checked and a lot of them first thing this morning and all the ones I checked had the same message, sorry but this campus is no longer enrolling students.

In regards to keep working until the axe finally falls, I took a different path. Rather than continue the lunacy, I left. I might as well put my canoe in a lush river rather than attempt to live trapped in an ossified existence the dry and cracked riverbed of Everest with an occasional stagnant puddle full of mud.

Detroit metro is consolidating, into 1 to 2 campuses. Yes, the campuses were spared due to politics and from one nasty letter to Mn. With the upheaval involved throughout ZEG, consider consolidation not a bad deal compared to the alternative. I must admit that I am perplexed, at the consternation of the consolidations and closures. You all were giving heads up over the past year, as to the direction of this company; But yet, many choose to believe others saying I was some "troll", when in fact, everything I posted was stated in the meetings that I was present and with risk to my career. The best advice that I can give you all is keep working as long as you can, but if you are at a campus with high cost and low student population, prepare your resume. Good luck

I visited all the pages in the original post. Only the pages for Seattle, Renton, Bremerton, Portland, and Vancouver indicate they are in teach-out.

We always said it was Everest that was losing all the money that WyoTech was making. Zenith finally figured it out and closed a pile of the Everest schools. Way to go Zenith!!!!

Yes, there is so much opportunity in Washington and Portland that the majority of the schools were closed last year. Going back in time, let's not forget that Portland was home of a Heald location, so from the original four, Vancouver, Portland, Tigard and Heald, only one is left.

I don't believe they will touch WyoTech. There is too much promise of turning the schools around. Give them another year and the enrollments will increase, if Zenith will invest the money needed.

As previously stated months back, MI spared via Detroit consolidation into Southfield; SA, Austin and Hobby you are on the clock. WA was consolidated last year, so they are okay. Bissonet was already highly profitable, but became even stronger; over last few months their cost have been reduced by over $400,000 per year. This coincides with a strong balance sheet. WA has some great opportunities, so hopefully management doesn't screw up. SA you are screwed. FW you have one more shot, so don't become a SA.

There are 10 new locations on that list. 5 were announced end of last year with the others. I believe that makes a total of 20 Everest schools in teach out status. It looks like WyoTech made it through this round of closures. Their consolidation will happen the end of next quarter be cause they are scheduled for a new start next week.

Where have you been? The Washington schools were announced last December.

"Still, the closure must have come as a surprise to local college officials. On Nov. 19, the Vancouver campus sent a news release announcing a ribbon-cutting to celebrate its conversion to a nonprofit career education college and to launch a scholarship program. Vancouver City Councilor Anne McEnerny-Ogle was scheduled to attend. But one day later the college sent notice that the event had been rescheduled to Jan. 26. The Vancouver campus offered the county’s only massage therapy program and training programs in a variety of administrative and office fields. The school started in 1999 in Vancouver as a massage therapy program."
