i've met ppl from outside Shell that tell me Shell has a "good 'ole boy system"...now, how would they know??

This "ole boy" myth is just that; in any company, you work your way up, doing a good job, turning/producing results, and you get to know people who you help and that can help you. It's called perception. It's like this isn't someone who isn't smart doesn't know. Any job, anywhere. We are all working for our families and our "80 points" so be real, we are all in it for ourselves, wherever you work.
