It may have been LHH that told us, your job now for 8 hours a day is to find another job. I immediately did just that, even working on nights and weekends. Take advantage of LHH, esp resume writing and esp if you have an old formatted one like I did, no matter the bad review of them above. Immediately sign up for their 2 two hour seminars, lots of good information esp if you have been out of the job market hunt for a while. Apply to all open McK jobs, either remote or in your area (unless you are willing to relocate, sometimes at your own expense), IF you want back in. The McK HR contacts, for the most part, are really nice and good to work with. One HR rep told me to check esp after April 1 (I was impacted in Jan), when the new budgets/positions are in place. Network, network, network. I also used Indeed and Simply Hired and my state's unemployment commission website for jobs. There are others. Then stay positive. I FB'ed in with the Power of Positivity. Sounds corny but helped me a great deal. There is nothing you can do except accept it and move on. Stay healthy. Use their EAP if you stay down or angry for too long and need to speak with a therapist.

Good thread
This has nothing to do with knowing what you're doing. Managers are there for themselves and actually steal the worker bees money to feed their MIP's. As far as McKesson goes, it is somewhat of a pyramid scheme. Under Hammergren, McK has been acquiring new companies and laying off existing employees. This cycle has been going on for over 7+ years. As long as there are companies for sale out there, this scheme will continue. Hammergren styled himself after Jack Welch and Lee Iacocca, both of whom believed prosperity was linked to employee reduction. Think about it- No product has grown since Hammergren.
I am replying to my own post :). On a negative note (here I am saying to stay positive :) ), John Hammergren really needs to look closely at both his management and sales force. For the past 7 years, I rarely heard from my many different managers, so I am not sure exactly what they are doing. There have also been some MAJOR decisions made, that have negatively impacted the bottom line. I hope when they clean house, that they start there and consider bringing back the worker bees that kept their customers happy.
