Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

All the kool-aid drinkers argued they were working for a legitimate company.

To all the idiots that believed Zenith was doing the right thing and heading in the right direction, what do you believe now that the scam has been uncovered? How does it feel being part of Obama's fraud on the tax payers and students of this country? You had the nerve to tell all of us that wouldn't fall for the scam to leave, that we didn't care about the students and that we were what was wrong with Zenith Education Group. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO TURN THIS COMPANY AROUND BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT IT TURNED AROUND. When the same upper management used the same stupid tactics like morning SOS meetings and forcing you to call absent students along with the stupid touchy feely training that should have made it obvious it was business as usual.

ECMC stands for: Equals Corinthian's Massive Corruption.

The reporter doesn't know the half of it, business as usual slaves.

Do you mean the new provost Mary O'sh--? Because that is what the employees and HR say before she opens her mouth. She is a bully and has been scolded for addressing people here in California by "nicknames". She is as arrogant as they come, and claims to have it all figured out. The schools can't stand her, when she tours, if she tours, she is condescending and critical. The Reg VpOs can't stand her and have called her another Arrogant Outsider, just like the other ECMC self proclaimed do gooders. Just keep complaining about the way she treats you, it will make it to the right people eventually. She should just go back to the Comedy College from whence she came.

It doesn't seem to matter, somewhere they find these students to get to enroll. I don't get it with all the other schools out there. But I also don't get the assistant deans we have, they are the worst I've ever seen in a for profit school. Where do they get these worthless bleeding hearts that don't know how to support a professor.

People will still enroll even with the negative report just like they continued to enroll during the turmoil of CCi in 2014. It will definitely hurt the chances of increasing enrollment but probably won't cause much of a decline from where it is now. You're correct in stating that most of the students who enroll in our schools never research the schools before enrolling. They usually sign the agreement the first meeting with the recruiter because of the promises and high pressure sales tactics.

Unfortunately, gac has it right. It I unlikely that most prospective students will take the time to have someone read the AP article to them........

Tons of bad decisions made. Starting with Lanouette and Stovall. Poor decision to keep any executives in any level of authority or decision making. They might add value, they might be ethical but it just does not create the right perception. However, I do believe that ECMC is trying to fix things. There is effort to do right. They just lack the operational knowledge to make it happen. The campuses will feel the brunt of all of this; most of it genetated by the new provost.

ECMC needs Zenith to maintain a tax free status as a non for profit. Zenith/Everest will exist one way or another. It will be diminished and right sized, but it will exist.

I believe it will hurt enrollment, but then how much worse can it get?

I can't believe that even with the truth out there, people are still enrolling in this sham of a school! Then again, I'm sure the demographic they target aren't reading or watching the news... or even comprehending the world around them.

I was one of those people. I was telling everyone else that the only change coming was a lot of us would lose our jobs and sure enough a lot of us lost our jobs the end of April last year. I could tell from the beginning that nothing was changing because it was business as usual. The only thing the government wanted changed was the elimination of share holders.

There were people on the Corinthian layoff site who knew almost immediately.
