N-8 are the leaf-node workers and engineers who do the work hehe!
Weird, I thought there were only 7 levels. I didn't realize there was an N-8 level...
N-1 President
N-2 Senior Vice President
N-3 Vice President
N-4 Senior Director
N-5 Director
N-6 Senior Manager
N-7 Manager

My department show the org chart from N-4 to N-8
Do we really need 8 levels? Wouldn't 7 have been better? Why is the company creating so many management layers? Are these many "people's managers" needed in the first place? Besides these there are Product Managers, Project Managers, you name it,,.Most technical meetings have more management personnel than engineers.
I don't want to believe this, but a source told me the cut will be dramatic.
Does the chart show a lot of HGST people taking over?
My department show the org chart from N-4 to N-8. But my feeling is only N-4 to N-6 are confirmed.
