We have known that San Francisco layoffs were coming for months. They refused to fill open reqs there opting instead for Alpharetta (you can pay slave wages in a right to work state).

I can tell you one thing: the San Francisco HR team is incompetent with a level of arrogance that would make Napoleon blush. They will bungle this like they do everything. I suggest that people go in this weekend, pack up their personal things, and clean out their work computers.

This is the smallest modicum of control that you can achieve psychologically. It will help you to be ready for Monday.

I second that. They are the worst. Colossally unhelpful when you are employed at the Company-one can only imagine it when you are no longer employed there? The simplest request for information for any HR topic-whether it be for reasonable accommodation or LTD-is akin to asking for access to the Manhattan Project. The Corporate Functions HR Business Partner Role is a revolving door. They can't even keep a person in that role for more than a year. Be frightened.

I heard that the 18th Floor and the Vision Center on Monday will be converted to termination stations. Stay off those floors.
