DCP Midstream started LayOffs March 11, 2016. Employees were told that layoffs would continue and firing would continue for some time. Management has said time and time again that there would be no more layoffs. Bonuses were awarded so upper management would still receive them. Raises were not given because this would not benefit upper management. All very sketchy.

Today it's all about greed for these big corporations and the lies they sell to the worker are demeaning but they don't give a damn.They don't do all the dirty work at these terminals (propane) in all sorts of nasty weather year round. Don't forget you are an EMPLOYEE AT WILL which means you can be let go at any time during your employment.The HR dept. is a joke because there is nothing human about these people and they work for the good of the company so don't think your special because they will fire you in a second.I worked for DCP MIDSTREAM for almost 8 1/2 years in one of the northern terminals and I know what I'm talking about. Management was a joke and most of the time the asset manager would micro manage everything even though we had a supervisor to do that job.Our supervisor was a real piece of work and paranoid about everything and he used to throw temper tantrums daily and think people were plotting behind his back or lying to him when they were not.Great atmosphere to work in everyday!!! I was never so happy when I left that terminal on my final day and never looked back.DCP doesn't care about it's workers it just uses them to their advantage.Back stabbing is the norm at all the propane terminals in the asset.These jobs were dangerous and a lot of maintenance records were falsified on a regular basis.I would never work for DCP MIDSTEAM again if you want your sanity and a long life.
My father after 25 years got laid off. I am not sure what criteria was used to determine what was best for company; as it seems unfair to get rid of operators that are keen and experienced and a true asset to the company. My father worked every Christmas and Thanksgiving for the last 18 years. There was no warning nor any loyalty or compassion. As a family member; truly disgusted with this whole ordeal. My hometown of Ozona Texas' job availability is scarce as it is and there is little hope for my father to obtain work in his capacity. Really sad they could not let him retire on his upcoming birthday on June 10th.
Sketchy company. Tamara bray needs to de fired her self. That woman is a wrecking ball. 10 years in and never seen a hr that bad.
In my area they only really trimmed the dead weight. I was surprised to find that one was someone that should have been fired before their probation was up anyway, none of the talent got axed. I think we only lost around 15-20 in my asset, and it is the largest asset. They actually protected the working man, kudos.
About 10% let go today. All employees, not just upper management got bonuses.
What percentage is this? I worked for DCP many years ago and we never thought about being laid off. I believe this is an industry standard now, no loyalty to the working class.

I have heard the same thing. People ruin a lot of lives as well as children lives by lying like that.
