I was let go today after 10 years and vested. In my opinion they took care of us very well, and I will not complain about that at all. The ones that are left need to work hard and try not to get caught up in the next one. This company will be back strong, and I appreciate the fact they took care of us. If the ones complaining on this site are the ones left then APC needs to get rid of them as well. I wish all that were let go the best, and for those left keep up the good work. Compete for your jobs and you will keep them. Don't be a complainer, and just work your ass off. Having a job in the oil field in these times means you are good at what you do.

If your over weight then you got laid off but if you are a hard bod, then you got to stay. Funny how that works
Crock of crap comment right there......Awesome talent, hard working, and dedicated people were lost today, my department was desimated! I devoted the last 10 years to my job at Anadarko, gave it my all, live the values daily, Internal customers will miss our support. Keep wearing the short skirts and cute pumps, that will help keep your jobs. And the leftover manipulating corporate gamers are going to have to look for someone else to cover their shortcomings. Good luck with that, ha!
Maybe that how it is in the offices, but in the field we did get rid of some dead weight. But unfortunately we lost some very skilled personnel that will be missed. Best of luck to all that were let go today, you will be missed.
Blah blah blah. From what I see left after - sure as hell AINT the cream of the crop. It was who had their nose up someone's ass.
