What's happening? Why they hide number of applicants?

no big loss - the person who was earmarked for the job in the first place was never one of the people who was counted anyway. About the only value the applicant number added was to show how interesting the job was. And lately, its been a joke with so many people eager to latch onto anything to avoid redundancy.
and equally frustrating is the number of jobs that have an "identified candidate", but HR said to leave it blank. So poor chumps who think they might have a fighting chance don't even know they are getting their hopes up in vain...
Transparency and authenticity.... still some work to do in these departments.
There was never much transparency to begin with.
Just taking transparency away
Because the MOR system is complete and totally bullshit. Just a way to drag out the layoffs and make it SEEM like they're giving you a chance.
