Friday approaching fast. To whoever said announcement will be made tomorrow re: MS being sold, is it really happening?
down to about 150 in Erie from close to 500
What's the headcount for MS overall?
I could be corporate or I could be someone working next to you, you will never know. However no one has presented any evidence that would at least remotely support the idea of MS being sold. Until someone does, it remains a rumor.
...says the corporate fire fighter trying to suppress the information.
It's not a rumor.
everyone just calm down! anyone can throw out a comment on here.
if there is evidence of a sale, please provide it, otherwise this could just be a rumor..
BTW you are hijacking a post that isnt even related to MS...
What's the validity of the measurement sale rumor? Who's the buyer? Will it include Ellerbek? or Corpus?
If FMC does sell MS that will most likely be the best scenario for all on both sides. The Smith product line will still be in demand and someone will be happy to own it and carry on its legacy. On the other hand the product line no longer fits with FMC's long term business model.
"MS" is short term for Measurement Solutions in Erie,PA. The plant was hit hard by the "Lean Manufacturing" and lost a lot of skilled individuals. This trend is moving to ALL branches of FMC.
I apologize, but what does MS stand for?
FMC MS Being SOLD. Will be announced this Friday. Put your seatbelts on!
Everyone
Will it effect TSPs or just office personnel?
Yes
