I heard through the grapevine that the next round of layoffs will be between April 4th and 8th. But this is all a rumor. Lists are already being made again.
Anybody hear anything?

is the new manager out of the Franklin, MA office or are they working in Hopkinton, MA
New assigned to NE region!!! wish I could say name,,,sorry!!!! I can tell you she has NO field experience.
Is this why there's a rush for us to get our Q3 goals in so quickly? And why we were pushed to do our Q2 recaps ASAP? Seems to be a correlation. As I heard someone say earlier today, "Winter is coming."
who is the new manager
EMC will reorganize and middle management will take a huge hit!! new female manager is going to HACK!!! and hit hard.
57 were let go from hopkinton branch last week
330 laid-off from April 1st thru April 5th
About 1,000 employees have left the company, globally, since March 31st. Looks like another round has started.
Anybody here can provide some inputs around the criteria for layoff's ( bench'd for 2 weeks, salary range, location, specific skill set etc) or is this just random blind layoff's? How can one escape the radar? Any tips?
I know end of quarter is this Friday. They add up the numbers and then figure out how much to cut from labor. I know that there's already been a list made so I suspect the rumor that the layoffs will be next week (week of 4/4 thru 4/8) makes sense to me.
But it could be Black Friday too.
Thursday is end of 1Q which was to have the majority of layoffs. The bean counters are probably figuring out how much of expenses to absorb otherwise hold off until Friday (2Q). Potentially Black Thursday and/or Bad Friday.
GSAP layoff under way. Especially if you're benched.
its still happening in the deepst darkest trenches of internal circles..
Doing Global layoffs at about 30 - 40 per day 7 days a week.
I think that 6K by June number is for layoffs that are not related to the layoffs that will occur after Dell and EMC merge. The layoff in Jan. was because EMC's revenue is flatlining. The quarterly results for 1Q (the quarter ends in 4 weeks) will probably be disappointing so this will trigger another round of layoffs. This is the one I was referring to.
It's all a rumor but I've been at EMC long enough to know that when they say that they will have layoffs in the future, it's not an idle threat. Churchward even telegraphed it in the All Hands meeting a few weeks ago.
http://www.itbusinessedge.com/blogs/unfiltered-opinion/dellemc-merger-why-people-dont-get-this-is-different.html says "EMC is planning to drop 6K employees by June", but I have no confirmation and don't know their source. Who can say? It's all sit tight and wait and see...
I haven't heard anything
