I know many retirement-eligible people within IBM with the attitude "I'm hoping they RA me, so I can get the RA six month 'bonus' as a retirement gift". Now that the 'bonus" has been reduced to one month, I suspect you will see an increased rate of these folks retiring, as that was the only reason many of them kept working.
