You are missing the point - you absolutely need new technology an innovation . The problem is the people supposedly recognizing and implementing them.

It's not a management problem - despite all the servant leadership crap it's a lack of leadership - Geotechnology is all about micro-managing the little shit whilst missing (spectacularly) the bigger picture.
My manager told me today that all managers would be laid off due to lack of managerial skills and the fact that they add no value.

Accounting is definitely gone. Why have accountants when you don't have any money? No value.
Probably going to cut 100% of our G&G staff. They don't even work. No value add there.
Engineering Department is for sure gone. Reservoir, production, completions, drilling...all of em. High salaries, no value.
Land Department is definitely gone - zero value there.
