Free Cyber Security Training for IT unemployed individuals in the Houston area.

Cyber Security grant sponsored training for unemployed military veterans, dislocated aerospace workers, dislocated oil and gas workers, and other unemployed individuals who possess the education and experience required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

a) Previous education/experience in computer technologies, including networking, IT, systems administration, computer science, etc.

b) Some college – Community college, 4 year college, in the study of technologies.

c) Two or more years of work experience in maintaining information systems or networks.

d) Output will make workers ready for technical security work in the IT field, so aptitude and experience with technology is more important than degrees or certifications.

Training available at University of Houston – Clear Lake and University of Houston Main campus, as well as two weeks at San Jacinto College central campus.

Training will start April 1st or June 6th depending on campus.
