The simple fact that those of us still employed by Devon are still checking this site regularly pretty much says it all. We all believe there are more cuts in the future. I am thinking the ones that have already cut maybe the lucky ones. I still feel as if I could be next.

I know for a fact that future layoffs are being reconsidered and are almost completely off the table.
BS. You know nothing. I feel exactly like the original poster. Your supervisor will tell you exactly what he knows. The day before you are fired he will be called to a meeting and told your position has been eleminated. If you think you are safe you are a fool. Take this time to get your resume together. Make contacts in LinkedIn and be prepared to leave. If oil does not make a sharp rebound you can count on more people and managers will be telling you your safe right up to the say they hand you the card board box and give you an hour to fill it and say good bye to the people left behind. I watched them fire one of the hardest workers I have seen at Devon, and a junior admin on the same team. I sit and nod my head as my supervisor tells me it's over just like the other gentlemen in my neighborhood do. At lunch we talk and we all know it is all very precarious. It's not over and we know it.
Let me know what kind of position you are looking for? I have a few clients that are owners of various energy companies that said they are hiring. Shoot me a text and let me know what you are looking for (405)757-5427. Good luck!
You can not think like that, it WILL effect your job performance. I know for a fact that future layoffs are being reconsidered and are almost completely off the table. The list is getting smaller everyday. If there are any more cuts they WILL be decided by your current performance. Hard work will be rewarded.
They're are contingency plans already in place with the next group of 200. Stay focus and work hard so you don't get on the list. If you're already there it's too late. This will happen in June
