I worked for a division bought by EMC. Once EMC bought the division, culture changed drastically and new leadership became even worse showing cronyism, hiring people who did not have the requisite skills for their jobs, and cutting those with tribal knowledge to bring in new players who were very junior to lead (cost savings). Leadership was myopic, communication worsened.
Figuring out how to work with corporate and getting through the layers of bureaucracy was exhaustive and defeating to get projects off the ground. Management worsened, morale tanked. Layoffs happened. Some orchestrated in a completely unprofessional way. Many of those laid off interviewed for other opportunities. A certain recruiter didn't even have the courtesy to reply back after offering me the job, but trying to low-ball me. When I replied with what I would accept, no response whatsoever. Really disrespectful and rude. Employees are clearly a commodity hired to be churned and burned at the lowest salary possible.
