Interview process took 2-3 months, was in the role for a couple of months and got axed while finishing up training. Had other offers as well but they really sold me on TIBCO and how good it would be to work there. Now those others offers are filled and I'm out of a job.
Looked earlier and there are now open sales roles on their careers website.
if you were there for only 45 days, i would push for more money than what was offered in the severance package. Sales for TIBCO has been down for over 3 years, and 45 days are not enough to judge your skills, so ask for more money, this is not about your abilities, but their history. You just got caught in the process. Remember this is not about you, but a company struggling to find their way and innocent people getting caught in the cross fire. You have a family to support so do ask for more money.
So glad I found this thread. I'm one of the sales people that got laid off on 4/15. Was on PTO in another state, and got the freaking call. Interview process lasted 4 mo, and I was in the role for 45 days. FORTY FIVE days.
Absolute joke of a company. Should I accept their initial severance package offer? Have wife and two infant kids. Pretty pissed off to say the least. Want to go to a competitor, and destroy them..
The Game
their
Riff only affected sales and pre sales. 60 people of the 200 in the US sales team were let go last Friday. Don't know Intl layoff count...
Are you sure was 15%? it seems much lower...
Best products, best people and worst top management ever .. I hope robert smith is kicking out Raj and his gang soon
Which depts?which regions have been involved?
This company is crazy, they did a big hiring push during the last 7 months and now because of a few bad quarters; which the newly hired reps had no effect on. In 1 territory they let go 5 of 7 sales people, 3 of which were hired within the last 6 months. But the senior management who is the problem with their lack of marketing vision has remained intact.
It's obvious that Vista is doesn't care about new Logo's and is just trying to milk the maintenance revenue.
I'm sure this will reflect in Gartners next reports.
Yup got layed off today as well. tons of money put into new hires and then a large number of them let go. Frustrating stuff.
Raj Verma and Matt Quinn are driving tibco nicely into the ground........................
