Reading through the Intel part of this website is really depressing. Even if what is written is 50% true/real, it sounds like we are going to be in for a tough integration.

Intel person here - you are at a really small site I would worry long term. Maybe you'll get to relo but I wouldn't count on anything.

I tend to agree with that, at least for now. If the IR conference call made mention of shifting to the IoT as a focus for Intel, I think we are safe for now. I believe offer letters will be issued in Q3, not now, at least that's what we've all been told, so for anyone to say they've been give an offer letter is, in my opinion, bunk.

This is not to say that we don't have another mid-year purge, or one in September. Always a possibility there. Just my two cents.

Heard from a VP today that the 12,000 Intel cuts themselves have no impact on WR. Not sure how much salt to take that with.

From the Intel board here:

I never really understood the Wind River purchase. We have plenty of software developers around here. With Davis leaving, the new management in IOTG will probably peel Win

I wonder what happens in sales. No need for technical account managers or FAEs? Or a bigger need for them in intel's IoT group?

This will come in the form of NOT getting an offer letter in Q3. Of course the support organizations within Wind River will be impacted the most, but engineering will be carved up also.
