Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

Bad News in July

Come July there will be another round of closures and consolidations. If you are not at a campus with an ED you need to start to plan for the future. Severance packages are poor so do not count on that. In addition, there will be another round in November or December.

Predicting quarterly RIFs is like predicting rain in Seattle. Thanks, Captain Obvious.

I do not see how this organization can continue to do the things they do. They make changes, which changes are good, as long as they allow enough time to evaluate an outcome. Then you make course corrections to pursue a more successful path. This organization has individuals in decision making positions that should not be there, making decisions they have no idea or experience in making. Then changing those decisions a month or two after they made them. In what world are they living in, because it is not the same one I am in. I truly believe you continue to make the same decisions, you get the same results, you cannot mash a square peg in a round hole. I believe in the product, I just don't believe in the individuals that are responsible in making the decisions to return us to the days of old......respectable and successful.

I'm not saying it couldn't happen, and anyone with any good common sense can make the same projections, but it shouldn't be represented as fact. And yes, people should be prepared just in case this experiment doesn't work.

I do not believe that this is B.S. Trust me, there is truth in this posting. You need to really think about you and your family. If you have the financial resources to take the risk -- then take it. If you are on a tight financial budget, you have a considerable amount of risk in staying. Zenith will not continue to function or operate at a loss. The board will not accept that at this point. Dramatic actions have been taken and will continue to take place until campuses are able to sustain themselves. June is the mid-point of the fiscal year. Campuses will be assessed and those not making the cut will be moved out.

It depends on your schools 3rd and 4th quarter projected enrollment numbers are. Schools that do not meet or exceed the break even number on population will be taught out or consolidated. By years end the only schools remaining will be the ones that can make it financially on their own. Dave has made it clear that each campus will operate under it's own budget dependent upon its income revenue. In other words, there will be no more robbing Peter to pay for Paul. Each campus will either be financially sound or it will fail.

Here's another OP that's full of sh--. Only people at Tom O"Donnell's level or higher would know such a thing, and I guarantee you, they're not posting on this site. It's okay to guess and prognosticate, but please don't present your opinion as fact. And for the people who put any credence into the OPs comments, well--you can believe what you want.
