Theyspent billions in capital to build up processing facilities in a rush rush mode. Now there is a glut driving prices way down in the northeast. They need access to pipelines since apparently they cannot get any thing built, very bad.

The future of Williams is looking worse and worse with the ruling by NY State to deny the vital water quality permit for Constitution Pipeline.
If you were laid off why would you not want the merger to be completed? I'm rooting like hell for the merger to go through so that I can get that big check. Now that Williams said they no longer need my services, why would I care about the future (or lack there of a future) of Williams? I have to look out for number one.
Anyone who works in this industry knows the business cycle. Those who save and plan are enjoying it. I am living on half my salary without much difference...don't have gas and meal expenses. It is a blessing that I receive gratefully. I hope that ETE doesn't complete merger, that oil and natural gas prices rise, and we can get back to work doing what we like best. Until then, we do what we must -- and enjoy a bit of retirement life early.

Anyone that calls someone a loser that just lost their job needs to reevaluate their own self worth. Must make you feel big to be like that. Feel real sorry for you. I also was let go and I am not a loser. I too will enjoy the great weather while I search for a new job. This does not make me nor anyone else a looser. You may find yourself in the same boat real soon but I would expect that you would not be able to look at the bright side of the situation like most of us are doing.
