Thread regarding Williams Cos. layoffs

Glad to be out...

Williams was a better place to work than others I had experienced, but I was quite happy to be laid off. My boss was an unnecessarily micro-managing nuisance. We definitely butt heads. I am sure that is why I was the first in our department to go. I was definitely more experienced and talented than several others in the group. And when your boss says, while you are getting laid off, that it is nothing personal, but your position was selected to be eliminated, then you find out they moved someone else into the position you were doing..... well, obviously, there was a different reason I was let go first and my boss was lying. So, yes, so nice to know they are letting bosses take out personal vendettas before they themselves get sacked.

Typical Williams Mgt. Nothing personal but you kept an unqualified person to do my job. Glad I was on the first list so I no longer have to deal with a rascist, politician who kissed his way to where he is. He sure as hell isn't qualified to run the department he's over. Good luck to my former coworkers. Sorry guys, but, glad to know you still have a paycheck.

I am a true believer that when one door closes another opens. Put it behind you and look forward. I'm sure you will find a much better opportunity and one where your talents will be recognized.
