It's all over the news now, the company is in trouble - China is causing problems. Boeing is buying less. Here we have it - it's a perfect storm for Alcoa. I am not really sure if we will ever stop to bleed - things are worse and worse - every quarter is bad now and we are shrinking. Tell me, is there a single company that benefited from layoffs?

Its sad to see what Alcoa is doing to the fastener business. Alcoa buys a factory then they close it and send it to other countries where the people get treated like dirt, for menial pay. One example is, they bought a small company in New Burry Park Ca, and closed it, then moved it to Mexico. The people working the Mexico plant are so sad because they are ill-paid, but they don't have many other options, so they are almost slave like. It is sad. If a California worker refuses to go to Mexico and train the Mexican worker, then he or she gets terminated. It is no wonder Alcoa's reputation and it's stock has gotten sour. My advice is " if you are looking for long term employment, make Alcoa your last stop".
Also sends work to Mexico(acuna) while it lays off people at the city of industry location / go to Democracy Now "NAFTA 20 years later" to find out why / YouTube: Malcolm x "political chump"
