You fear your manager sh---canning you. Your manager fears his/her manager sh---canning them. Those managers fear getting sh---canned by the VPs. Those VPs fear getting sh---canned by the executives. Those executives fear getting sh---canned by the board of directors... Those board of directors fear the stock-holders losing confidence and ending up with a worthless company...
Ladder of fear. The only way to not fear is either not give a sh-- or just get off the ladder...
