Thread regarding Zenith Education Group layoffs

WTF are you thinking Burkhalter?

Your lack of qualifications to run admissions become more visible each and every day! Let me see if I understand this correctly. Troy Waldrup and Casey Fowlie have to interview for the jobs they already have, and yet, you and Jill Cochran, who have never enrolled a single student, get to continue to masquerade as admission leaders.

You are not that stupid Kieth. This has to be another one of Kim Deans failed directives that you are puppeting. Think about how silly what you are doing is and looks. You are taking and asking the two most qualified admission leaders left in this company to interview for a position that is junior for these guys when you look at their backgrounds. Stop letting your ego and that little man syndrome get in the way! Stop bending over for Kim. She is like the wicked witch of the west in Munchkin Land - powerless at this point. Do the right thing and draw on the talents of these two guys to assist you as well as Jill and give our schools a chance to enroll students.

OK the government hasn't written a law exclusively against "aggressively recruiting" students, but all career schools that do use aggressive recruiting have law suits against them from the federal and or state governments. Zenith got spanked a few weeks ago by the D.O.E. for their TV adds and their recruiting methods. With help from the Obama Administration the career school sector is dying off just the way he planned it.

You have to interview. Everyone does. And yes there are more qualified people out there. Spent time with these 2, nice guys, but nice does not get the job done. They have a 6 month interview, no improvement.

Please explain more about: "now the government has ruled it illegal to aggressively recruit these people"

Thank you.

Who ever is the original OP reposted I assume. I have no skin in the game on this one. If these guys are qualified then they will get hired. If not stop bitching Someone has a motive here.

Everyone seems to be forgetting something, enrolling students is not part of the plan. How do you attract new students without targeting the people that choose career colleges over traditional 4 year colleges? All career schools, profit and non-profit enroll from the same group of candidates and now the government has ruled it illegal to aggressively recruit these people. Without aggressive recruiting the enrollment numbers will not improve and most likely continue to decline.

I agree. If Hawn would take the time to get to know Casey and Troy he would let them drive admissions. The problem is in his chain of command, which flows through kieth and "could I have possibly f---ed it up any worse" Kim Dean.

If Casey and Troy are the most qualified, then that is the first problem. AND Jill Cochran!?! Talk about under qualified!! If everyone recalls, all of these "leaders" came from HS admissions and boy weren't they all successful with that (yes, that is sarcasm). They talk a good game, but that does not inspire teams OR enroll students. Good luck with that!!

It doesn't matter, the whole thing is dying. No one is interested in enrolling in there schools. The youth of today are more interested in protesting for $15 an hour to work at McDonalds than they are getting an education. The ones that are interested in an education are waiting for the government to pay for it.

With the current admissions regulations, most successful left the industry long ago.
